OVERVIEW: 8Bā Gallery presents The Weight of Light, a solo exhibition by Oksana Vildanova, bringing together a body of works in which ornament, matter, and luminosity become part of a single visual language.

Working with mixed media and 24K gold leaf, Vildanova constructs surfaces that oscillate between the ancient and the cosmic. Spirals, eyes, serpentine forms, celestial signs, and organic textures appear not as decoration, but as carriers of energy, memory, and transformation.

The exhibition reflects on light as both material and metaphysical force: something that reveals, conceals, weighs upon the surface, and turns matter into presence.
